It's a dirty fix but it works!Īnd this is the bash script /usr/local/bin/makemkvrun.sh that does the work: The /usr/local/bin/makemkv.sh script just calls another script, this is a workaround to the script timing out when being called by udev. I was interested in using multimedia/makemkv. The machine has an external DVD connected via USB. I wanted to use an external USB LG Blu-ray player (model BE14NU40). The aim of this was to be able to run my dvd collection through a headless linux server running Ubuntu 12.04.
